My first week of my first ever photography class is officially in the books! Learning from two great photography mom instructors has its’ perks, plus add in an amazing community of online support from others learning how to navigate their cameras, and I’d call it a full-on success!
While I won’t go into specifics on the lessons that are taught and the suggestions they give (Sorry, those are the best kept secrets that you learn when taking the class!), I will tell you the things that I loved about my first class with Shoot Along.
Things I love about Shoot Along Camera Classes for Parents
- The weekly online guide that is sent out on Mondays on READABLE. Not only is it understandable, but it is kept short and to the point. Almost like these busy mommas understand that us moms don’t have days to sit around reading chapter books. Thank you for that, Heidi and Amy! They truly get the lifestyle of a mom and know we need the best Cliff’s Notes they can offer us.
- The assignment is easily attainable. What do they suggest? PHOTOGRAPHING YOUR CHILD! Easy enough.
- The online support that goes along with the class is my favorite. Everyone gets the same assignment, and then everyone posts their assignment to the private FB group that was created just for our little class of learners. When you post, you write in the settings that you used when you took the picture. And don’t worry about remembering that info, you pull it right off of your camera or photo editing software! Your classmates can write in their thoughts, as well as hearing back directly from the instructors.
The focus of our week was on Lighting.
I’m already looking forward to experimenting for week two!! Bring it on Shoot Along, I’m ready for you!
