Oh, how I remember the good ol’ days where I could leisurely thumb through a US Weekly or get caught up with the Hollywood gossip by reading People.
GONE ARE THE DAYS.
Thanks to my two bossy opinionated beautiful children, this is the book I just received in the mail today! Thank you Amazon… Good luck to me!!
Has anyone read this book? What are your thoughts? Did it help you as a parent? Is it worth the read?? I can’t wait to hear your reviews.
This book saved my sanity!! The book is easy to read, full of practical examples, and often funny. I couldn’t put it down. I read it 14 years ago when my daughter was 2. And, I’ve read parts of it more than a dozen times. My book is well-worn and well-loved. My daughter is extremely strong-willed and has given me a run-for-my-money. She’s polite, respectful, and well-adjusted at the age of 16. She’s still strong-willed, but I believe that this book has helped my channel her will in a positive direction. I have to say that if it weren’t for this book, I don’t know how I would have survived. Dr. MacKenzie has a new book, Setting Limits with Your Strong-Willed Teen coming out in January. I wish I had that when my kids were just beginning adolescents. ENJOY the book and enjoy the ride. It’s worth it!
Thanks so much for your comment, Lisa! This book is also saving my sanity…. One day at a time! I’m sure I will be checking into Dr. MacKenzie’s new book once I reach the teen years!! Thanks again!
