Thanks to fellow blogger, Suze, from Suzi Land for nominating me for the Sunshine Blogger World. I have enjoyed getting to know Suze from her blog and you will too – Check her out! Now, onto my challenge…. As a Sunshine Blogger, I must answer the 10 questions that my nominator gave me AND nominate other bloggers that I think are worthy. To see my nominees, scroll to the bottom!

Now for the fun part – Here goes!!

1.Which would you choose and why? A vacation alone in the Bahamas or a two week camping trip with a boy scout troop?

Unless a two-week camping trip with a boy scout troop comes with the Barbie’s Dream House Dream RV, I’m going to have to go with THE BAHAMAS fo shizzle! As a mom of three littles, I can’t even imagine myself lounging on the beach with PEACE and QUIET by mySELF…. Oh, but how wonderful it is to imagine.

2.Explain in your own words (no looking this up) what is the difference between a DVD and Blueray?

I believe the difference between a DVD and Blu Ray is about quality. A Blu-Ray has a better quality than a standard DVD. {DAMN. I defied the rules and googled it after answering and I’m WRONG. Boo hoo….. You’ll have to Google to find the right answer :)}

3. If you could have one of your blog posts go viral, which one would it be and why?

This is a tricky one for me, as I feel like I have a few VERY different niches that I often blog about. First and foremost, I am a working mother. Many of my posts are satirical laughs about every day life as a mom and I feel like many others in my position can relate to my words. Likewise, I spend each and every day on a grief journey. I lost my mom suddenly when I was 29 years old. She was my world and my rock, and everything since then has lacked in luster. I write openly about my healing and living with a constant hole in my heart.

If I had to choose one post, it would probably be My Wish For My Son. Learning to accept my son – and his emotional intensity and unique characterists – is something that I’ve struggled with. This post is a raw look at my open and honest feelings on this daily struggle.

4. Dinner with Genghis Khan or Benjamin Franklin? What would you talk about?

I would rather have dinner with Benjamin Franklin…. And not only because I had to google “Genghis Khan.” 🙂 During our dinner, I would ask Ben (I’ll assume he would let me go ultra casual by the end of our time together) about his childhood. He has always struck me as a rather odd individual, and I want to hear about his anxieties, fears, ambitions, and family life. Maybe after talking to him, it could help me be a better mom to my unique son!

5. If you could be the ruler of the world for one day, what laws would you make? (they can’t ever be changed)

New law: DON’T BE A DICKHEAD. I think a lot of the world’s problems could be solved with this very simple law.

6. You are writing a comedy show for television. what is it’s title and what is it about?

My comedy would star Kristen Bell (I LOVE HER!) as a teacher mom with three young children. Her husband travels internationally for his career and she is in a state with zero family members, 100% stress, a potty mouth, and a deep love for wine. This comedy is called My Life.

7. You are accepting the award for World’s Best Blog! What do you say in your acceptance speech?

First and foremost, I’d like to thank my typewriting teacher from 1999. Had I not taken your class, laying down my words would be much more cumbersome than it is worth. I’d also like to thank my children. If you were the perfect kids I always expected you to be, life would be boring and I would have nothing to reflect on with such frustration and humor. If you were perfect, momma wouldn’t drink and tell stories…. And there would be no Mojitos & Munchkins.

8. Which one is your favorite? Brussels spouts or cookies? WHY???????

Duh. Cookie. No brainer. Every kind of cookie I’ve ever tried is better than the best cooked brussels sprouts.

9. Your local university is sponsoring a special class that only YOU can teach. What are the students going to learn?

In my class, students would learn how to BE KIND. The students enrolled in my class will have a leg up on the world once I become a ruler and create my law of DON’T BE A DICKHEAD. (See question #5.)

10.   Were these the VERY BEST QUESTIONS you have ever been asked? Why or why not? (this is a special credit question…think carefully prior to answering!)

HA! Nice question, Suze 🙂 I liked that these were unique questions and unlike the traditional “tell me about yourself” rundown. It was fun to sit down and take a few minutes to think about ME and stretch my brain in a new way!
