In a market where there are countless children’s books to choose from, there are certain features that set some apart from others. Personalization is one of those items. Any time you can personalize a book to make a child feel like the author had them (and only them) in mind, you are guaranteed to get smiles and extra nighttime snuggles.
That is exactly what I got from my son after he received The Magic Of My Name. Created by The Story Tailors, who believed in the right for all children to experience magic, this book tells the tale of how a child got their name. An Acrostic Poem of sorts, this book explains how each letter in a child’s name came to be. The word choices all reflect character, most of which seemed highly relatable and connected in the case of my son. Oh, and you even get to pick the hair color of the main star, to which my son said, “Hey, the kid has yellow hair like me!”
In ordering the book, I must say that I was impressed from the get-go. From a positive customer service experience, to seamless shipping, to a look of pure glee on my son’s face, to an incredible product… Fabulous efforts with amazing results! My son, 8, is an avid book reader, and was exceptionally pleased to find HIMSELF as the main character in this story. After all, who wouldn’t be excited to be the protagonist?? The personalization is wonderful and the morals and values depicted in the book are ones that parents can be proud to share. After receiving this book less than a week ago, it has been the bedtime book story of choice each night. He has even been caught reading it to his younger sisters in the morning before school.
In addition to beautiful illustrations, one of my favorite features is the ability to personalize a message for your tiny reader on the first page. My son thought this was “really cool” (his words, not mine), and for all gift givers this is an opportunity to add your personal touch to an already personalized book.

One note I will give is that the book itself is a bit longer. This is definitely not an infant/ toddler board book with minimal words and pages. This is the real deal – An almost 50-page book, with writing on about half of those pages. My 5 and 7 year olds can easily be engaged throughout the story, and even my 2-year old was entranced with the photos. It is a beautifully written, artistically completed, hard covered book that your family will love.

Check out the video below for a glimpse into the pages. For more information, and to order a copy of your own, go to The Magic Of My Name website.

Mojitos & Munchkins would definitely recommend this…
To add to your personal library, or to gift to a special child in your life!!

*In exchange for my honest feedback, I was given a free copy of this book.
All opinions are mine and mine alone, and my review based on my true feelings.
